A quick update for the development at Ureka.Social.
The main site search system has been improved and now includes filtering to allow you to search by a username, a subscribed community or both (on top of the existing text or tag search options).
Let me know how you get on with it!
I have also fixed a couple of bugs that were causing votes to not be rendered for thread posts.

You know what would be cool? Search for title of a post (not exact title but like) eventually with a date range picker!
Without being able to run indexing servers, I am limited to what I can do with search. The public API servers, I'm not well suited to this, but I'll speak to some people and see if there are any options i've missed.
At some point, it would be good to run a eureka server for data such as this, but the project really needs to generate income to be able to sustain that.
That's a good point, generate income is not easy, ads are not a good way, when peakd tried it, it looked so ugly and scam-like... Something like ecency points could be
Advertising clearly works for web 2 social networks, but it has to be done carefully.. and there is a chicken/ egg situation in the sense that you need a big audience to generate a big income.
Smart contracts offer something new here, so I am contemplating, what may work there.
Do you know if HiveSQL is good for doing search queries? The ability is clearly possible if they indexed the right columns. I found out recently that they don't index the last_updated column which threw my work for a loop.
Hive SQL can be used to collect most data from hive, yes. There is also Hivemind and other systems that act as middlewear for indexing. I haven't used them for this kind of indexing myself yet though. I will probably get to it in time. Proper notifications are a higher priority at the moment.

Are you going to add back untrending?
The Untrending report has been recoded as a weekly onchain post as hivealive no longer exists. You can follow @ureka.stats to check them out. I might code a browser extension at some point too, once I get some space for that. 👍
