Shame about scrapping the cars, even if they were in terrible condition. The car on the left in the first picture is a Marcos GT. Very nice looking and fairly rare car. Jay Leno did a video with one in very good shape:

Either the two blokes in this video are 7' foot giants, or that's a very small framed car, the size ratio of man to car looks wrong. Car's such as this should never be 'scrapped'.
