CIGN-FM was established on 7 may 2012; it is the Francophone community Coaticook radio of the town. Radio coopérative de Coaticook got a plus sign from Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunication Commission to launch a Type B community radio on 96.7 MHz frequency with 2400 w (max) and 1250 w (Avg) ERP. 102 hours of transmission would conduct each broadcast week, according to the decision made by the licensee. The Easy listening radio would contribute to the music and spoken word content that may contain current affair, newscasts, cultural content, public affairs talk, and different kinds of community interest programs. From the total news, ten percent would be local, thirty percent would include both national and international stories and remaining 60 percent should include regional news.

In February 2012, a grant was permitted by the Canadian Commission to start CIFN-FM leeway until October 2012. Then finally on 7 May 2012, the community radio signed on-air from its studios located at 39 West Main Street. Se connaître. Se reconnaître.
