Should I show teaser clips from the documentary

in #upfundition6 years ago (edited)

I have a question for my fellow Funditioners...

Should I show clips of my documentary as a teaser for the final release?

The answer may seem like a no-brainer...but here's the trouble.

The clips I have require editing to bring out the best quality. The best voice, pictures, color, etc.

If I release clips that are not 'edited quality' -- will people perhaps not want to view the documentary?

But at the same time, releasing clips that are edited will increase my workload 10x.

All this while I'm still editing my book: Stolen Wallets and Where to Buy Them.

Let me know what you think in the comments

Bonus: here's Leo and I enjoying dumplings in Hong Kong. Leo is the head of the BTC association in Hong Kong. I interviewed him and that's one of the clips I could release after editing.

Sort:

Definitely release some teasers.... but 'badge' them as rough cuts maybe.
