Heey posyble! :) yeah, I think we all been burned/betrayed/lied to/duped/scammed/etc sometimes in our lives. It doesn't mean we should be hard or cold or automatically dismiss anyone, but perhaps just show some good caution and sense..

SG is the example of good, nice, and trusting I think, but also he is smart and I think he has learned to read people by now, but still he would listen to anyone and help if they sincerely need it.

btw, there are many scenarios that u told where a person NEEDS some help.. usually some kind of hand out.. charity.. a 'loan' (that never gets paid back). It might seem like help to bail them out of that situation, but it might truly help them more to force them to help themselves.. teach a man to fish and all that.. and tough love.
