Your Place In The Universe

How much do you really know about the world in which you live? Do you know for instance, that we all live on a planet which is really a small ball that is travelling in a circle round the sun? We call it a small ball, although it looks very huge to us because when you compare it wit other planets, the earth is one of the smallest. So there are nine planets in all, each one travelling in a circle around the sun which is in the center. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which is the most distant from the sun.
Have you ever wondered what the stars are really like? At night look up and observe them. They look so small, just like specks of light high up there. But in fact each is very bright. In most cases, each stars is bigger than the sun. Yet the sun is more than a million times larger than the planet Earth. The stars appear tiny cause they are very far from the earth. Compared with their distance from us. The sun too is a star, but a very weak star. It appears she bright and so mighty only because it is very close to us.
There are billions of stars In the universe. We can see just a few of them with our naked eye. We can not see the others because they are very far away. It would take more than a million years for a man travelling in the fastest rocket to get a any of them. Of course it is clearly impossible for any man to think of travelling to any of the planet around the other stars.
Now think of how huge the universe is, with millions of billions of stars; the nearest of which is more than millions not knowing if there is life on other planets. When you think of size, the earth is one of the smallest specks of dust in the universe so small as the earth, it would appear that it is a blessed little planet because it is the only one which we know there are living creature.
The planet Earth is blessed. .
