#ULOG 3; TODAY IS A STRONG DAY FOR ME@WORK; DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST THE MANAGER

My Second Ulog post was about introducing my work place; CONSOL LIMITED(THE NIGERIA'S NO 1 CONTACT CENTER SERVICE PROVIDER).

Today at work is not a funny day at all due to yesterday's disciplinary action against the Contact Center Manager. Everybody in a very sad mood, I have been scared and find it difficult to understand why we get everyday criticism from people just for one mistake. People tend to forget the goods you do to them just so fast. I wonder why somebody will make a decision of disintegrating another person's career. Of what benefit is it??.

It was a sad news knowing that the Manager will no longer be the Manager after all his endless effort to move the company forward. Even He(The Manager just had to accept what life has brought to him) but the problem is, How will everybody cope without him? for he has always been the best person to manage the Contact Center, he knows how to manage the companies resources(agents), Although nobody is perfect.

His Subordinates(The Supervisors and agents) wasn't even given the opportunity to ask him few questions that could be of help to them in carrying out some of his activities before the arrival of a New Manager because it all happen almost at the close of business. Rumors here and there among the agents, asking themselves what could have happened and everybody not just in a good mood because he is a person they work up to in case of any problem. Some of the agents even find it difficult to believe what they heard until they see that the manager didn't resume work this morning.

I kept wondering if it is possible for the management to call him back because putting myself in his shoes, i understand how painful it is to loose a job, not only the pain of feeding your family but the pain of searching for another job most especially in my dear country Nigeria. A man of his kind will never want to settle for anything lesser than what he was earning before.

Today is a day everybody has to be careful in my place of work. I learnt a lot from what happened to the Manager in the blink of an eye, that all that glitter are not gold, In life we should always have a good alternative for whatever we do no matter how steady it is. Change can happen at any time in life and nothing exist forever.

My #Ulog for today. Am already missing the Manager and i hope the new Manager be nice to everyone.
