Hey guys! I'm back with another poem in English. I got bored with the AABB and ABAB rhyme scheme, so I decided to tinker with another format instead. It's definitely a little rough at the edges and sounds kind of dragged out when you read it, but I guess this will serve as a good practice session to prepare me for writing more poems in the future.
(Little girl lost in the woods | by Niki van Velden)
Have You Seen This Girl?
by Jesse Mar E. Mulintapang
Sometimes I feel like a little girl
All alone in my little world
With my precious innocence intact
Ignorance is bliss, oh yes
But because of it I'm helpless
For many evil eyes I will surely attract
I ran away to protect my fantasy
So reality won't get to me
But with every step I had lost track
Now I'm lost and so far away
From my home where it's safe to stay
And now I can't find my way back.
So you did an AAB AAB scheme? Very clever. You challenge me, I like it, More power!
Thanks! :D
