Hiking means a lot to me.
Not so long ago, I discovered the beauty of climbing a mountain, getting more in touch to nature and disconnecting to all hassles and bustles of the polluted concrete jungle. And at the moment, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my youth and I have never been more sure before.
I am only 21, and working with a sales company offering some IT services. I’m not so happy with my job, but I am so glad I had an avenue to still do what I love to do, to write and discover things.
...
Hiking has been my reward to myself whenever I feel lonely and or in need of motivation. Nature has always been very inspiring for me. Forests, trees, rivers, oceans, adventures or anything in between, excites me to the bone.
Unexpectedly Mt. Romelo has been a good destination for me.
Everything was so unexpected. I woke up dizzy and empty. And with few chats coming from my friends I ended up seeing myself trekking for almost 2 hours, overcoming some assaults and making some water splashes like a child.
Mt. Romelo is a gift for lonely and hurt adventurers. The falls it have can definitely wash away all your sorrows and can clean your anxious soul. At least that's all I have experienced first hand. But I know there's a lot more.
As I reflect for the entire trip, I made myself another set of rules pertaining especially for group trips.
1 . Do your best not to be an extra baggage.
Adventures like this needs a great amount of passion and dedication. Walk fast, minimize your arte-ness, always think how your other travel mates are feeling and don't just always be felt sorry, give your all not to feel sorry for the inconvenience you might give them.
2. Be a great help for others.
Aside from not being a source of inconvenience it is also beautiful that you can provide convenience. Both are different but very essential.
Be someone that can do a favor for others without being asked and without hoping for a payback.
In that way we can be more confident and can have a more wonderful relationship with our friends.
3. Don't be an asshole/toxic to the environment and to the people depending on it.
The place you will be at is the place that will be your home temporarily. The way you treat it implies the way you do it with your own home.
Caring for the environment and the people are a great traits a person calling himself an adventurer should have and even for all the regular citizens out there.
Your garbage, your sewage and other trashes/toxics must be disposed properly. It also important that you watch and tell others to be responsible about their actions, of course always in a good way to maintain the group harmony.
4. Enjoy!
With all the three things above, I believe you can really and genuinely be happy for the entireness of your trip, which must be your goal in every time you go
