Tarot of the Week 22 (Ask the Tarot about Foodstamps?)

Sorry we are late to the Tarot Tuesday post, as the changes made to the blockchain yesterday prevented us from posting in the morning. Hopefully those changes were for the better?

Yesterday, Larry asked the Tarot for the outcome if he were to go apply for Food Stamps, since there is a lack of clientele for doing art. This is the spread he received.

The first card, top left, is the card representing his past. Here, we have the magnificent, inverted 9 of Wands. The inverted 9 refers to the struggles we face when things aren't going their way. Makes sense in this context, as this struggle with work is precisely what has lead Larry and I down the path to apply for Food Assistance. The next card to the right, refers to the present time/question at hand. Here, we have the inverted 7 of Wands. What this means is, at the present time, this struggle has made him feel like abandoning his dream job. Again, this is truthful, as "throwing in the towel" is another aspect to the cause of applying for "lazy bum money". Lol....

Next right, is the hidden influence that needs to be considered. The 3 of Swords has to do with the mental state when we are dealing with loss. Larry has this metaphor to share regarding this card. If we threw you one sword, you could probably handle it. If we threw to you a second sword, you could still wield them both, though, some balancing skill would be needed. Now, if we threw to you a 3rd sword, you would probably drop them all trying to catch that one and have to deal with the mental damage of failure/loss. Again, accurate in context to the reading.

The top right card, here the inverted Page of Pentacles, reflects how others see Larry regarding this question. No doubt that his mom sees him as the inverted Page of Pentacles, who's child-like approach to money management makes him/her a money drain on the provider. His existence here has been a money drain on his mother, since he hasn't had an income of his own in a hot minute. Geez, how eerily accurate.

Bottom left card is the "Best Course of Action". Here, representing this slot is the inverted Moon Card, which has to do with overcoming the fear of the mysterious and unknown. For a while, Larry has looked into law and what it truly means to "reside" in a State, which makes him fearful of applying or registering for anything, as it gives up your God given rights. Here, the Tarot is suggesting to "get over it" if you want what you desire.

The following card represents obstacles in Larry's path, shown here with the 4 of Wands. All this is saying, the comfort of being at home could potentially prevent progress in regards to applying for food stamps. Who wants to go apply for money when it is more fun to stay at home and create things? Again, super accurate. (Spoiler alert, he did go apply and leaving the house was the hardest part)

Finally, the outcome card, here with the Ace of Pentacles which brings good money news. The Ace of Pentacles usually reflects the gift of money/resources. So, all this is saying, if he follows through and applies for Food Stamps, he will receive money/resources. How accurate is that???

While it is true he applied for Food Stamps yesterday, there are still hurtles to overcome. Though, this might not be needed in the end, as we do have a client on board of having their likeness drawn as one of Mr. Dreamtree's "blue skinned" spirit bodies. We just await final confirmation. If things go right, I am sure he will abandon the Food Stamp idea. Yeah, Larry, you don't want the State to have Jurisdiction over you, do you? That's muh boy...

Much Love!

Hello from the Steemit Tarot community!

@steemittarot began as a way to curate all the Tarot Tuesday posts that starting popping up on the site. Now the hope is to connect all readers, people interested in learning about the cards, and other assorted people bearing good juju.

To this end, your post has been resteemed and/or upvoted. To find out more, check out the intro post here.

Ah, I see you survived changes to the blockchain, lol. :D Thank you, as always.

Great reading! What deck is that, please? Blessings, Colin

Larry wishes he still had the packaging for it so he could tell you. The only part of the name he can recall is, Elizabeth. He received this deck from his first "girlfriend" over 12 years ago. It came in a lavender colored box which he got rid of just a couple years after receiving the deck. Sorry we cannot be more helpful.

I just did some Google research. Though we cannot find this deck, we found a similar deck by Liz Dean. So maybe that is who Larry was thinking?

Awesome, check it out! We did find them. It is a Liz Dean deck. Thank you, Google!
