ULog #23: Obligatory Update

in #ulog6 years ago (edited)

Goodness! We are approaching the last stretch of February already. I thought 2019 had just started? Time flies when you are busy. In the US, it is currently tax season. I hope you crypto-savvy folks have not decided to ignore your local laws and try to evade taxes.

It is definitely not a good idea to cheat Uncle Sam, especially when the blockchain is an open book. Anyways, I did mine thanks to TurboTax's affiliates that specialize in crypto taxes. They made a tremendous amount of work possible in a few hours.

The weather has not been the best recently. It has been a yucky mix of slush, rain, and actual snow for some time. Driving on the road can be tough if you are not used to it. Worse, road damage was not uncommon to see on warning signs.

In Life:

I downloaded FreeMind a few weeks ago to help me organize my thoughts. To be more specific, it was for a project I have put on hold for a long time. It is a story/book I have been working on for a long time. I will never post it on Steem. It will be a hobby I actually enjoy from this point on.

Speaking of enjoyment, this is the part where I express my outrage about my ice cream.

This is the first time in my life where I do not have a completely filled container of brand new ice cream. I felt cheated. At the same time, it does not matter in the long run. I tend to spend several months going through one pint of it anyhow. Come to think of it, why did I even buy it? I don't even like ice cream that much.

In Steem:

Steem is lively with drama, as always, even if the audience is small in comparison. I stayed around here for the REKT, and it has been rewarding so far. If you seek social media taken way too seriously, you have found the right place.

I do admit that there are times I ask myself why I bother spend my time here when it could be more useful elsewhere. I have not done much on the chain recently, but I am still doing related stuff in the background.

This is where I will commend the fortitude and discipline of full-time bloggers.

         Take care now...

Wow.... that footer advertisement is new. ._.

yeah, been wondering about that. Does that pay much?

Only if you reach 2 Dclick tokens, which can take some time. I just do it for the lolz.

Extra change is extra change.

Taxes! Nobody likes the street sweep either. Evasion is stressful and so is prolonging payments. I let taxes make me feel soggy. All this rain is making life feel soggy too. Rain water accumulates up against my outside walls because of a planter. It’s not good for the foundation in the long run. I plan to line the bottom of the walls with sand and mulch soon. SOOooon...

I think that ice cream is smiling back at you. It almost reminds me of you. Just scrape off the top layer.

Have you seen a fancy ice cream shop near you called a “creamery?” I thought it was an old thing getting a revival. Not sure, but it’s popular here in LA. One near me has some of the most interesting flavor combinations. It’s expensive, but delicious and worth adding to your chocolate lover’s bucket listed thing to try.

Congratulations on getting determined and organized with your book’s production. I’ve been preparing stuff for release too. Not a book, just more of the music.
Sitting on personal projects and waiting for “the perfect _____” to be “ready” feels immature to me now. Suspiciously procrastinating also. I’ve really started to appreciate people with large volumes of work. Trello helps.

Out of all the social media that can be taken too seriously... The money part almost makes it worth taking too seriously... almost, kinda... It’s like gambling with pennies. There is a little extra element of accountability.

Sniff some tea tree oil and stay dry. That’s my life technique at the moment. I hope you get a chance to enjoy a nice quiet scenic view in one of those snow capped mountains. Give someone a hug today. 😁

I know a few creameries around here. Used to love them for the cookies and cream milk, but alas, my body can no longer tolerate it.

Yes, milk is rough for me too, but I can still handle pizza and ice cream... for now. I found a creamery near me that has one of the best chocolate ice cream flavors I have ever tried. That’s a big statement when it comes to chocolate. It gets bigger. That chocolate was actually sorbet (vegan) instead of ice cream. It was a personal first and they were fresh sold out when I went back. I usually avoid sorbets unless it’s the only type that’s been leftover, but this sorbet is different. Sorbet needs love too.
Even “healthy” chocolate is delicious to me.
Maybe they have a good one near you.

The only sorbet I've ever had are those champagne-flavored ones.

I've never heard of that type. Add orange sprinkles for a mimosa sorbet.

OMG... That ice cream!!

Felt a bit robbed, but it is what it is.

Please provide !sources that ice-cream tub looks very familiar!! ;)

Lies! You just want to steal me ice cream.
