RE: #ULOG No. 16: Monday Missions Managed

My grandparents were very similar to yours. They worked so hard all their lives. They had fields to work on, animals to feed and also took care of part of the forest and planted trees there. They also took care of us when we were very young and our parents had to go to work.

My grandmother was making carpets at home. They were so beautiful. The blankets from your grandmother are the most beautiful ones that I have ever seen! So colorful! And you seem to be a right man when you think that blankets should be washed by men! You are so right! I'm very happy that my husband thinks the same :)

I wish your grandfather a speedy recovery. I understand that he wants to be at home but I also understand that you want to take care of him.

Thank you for sharing such personal story.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to us, the next generation? My mom kept telling me that she doesn't want us to experience what she had gone through in terms of how hard life was and how hard she has to work. However, I think we should have been made to work hard. We should have been trained and made tough as they are lol! We were spoiled and we kept spoiling the younger generation to the next.

There were more colorful blankets my grandmother made but those were worn out.

Thank you for your well wishes!

You are so right! Because of spoiling, many people don't appreciate what they have and always want to have more. Even if we do appreciate what we have, we can't even grow our own vegetables, plant trees or build houses :)

All of this our grandparents could do!
