Oh wow! I've been to that border crossing many times, but from the Panama side. So crazy that you only have to cross for a few hours. I hear that's the way it used to be in Panama, but now you must stay out for 72 hours (and since they don't time stamp the visas, you better stay out for 4 days to make sure it was long enough). I have friends who just did a border hop because they haven't been able to get residency yet. We got it a few years ago, so we're happy to not have to do that. Where in CR do you live? We live at the base of the volcano (Baru) that you shared in the first pic. Been living here a year and we love the highlands here! I love CR (we honeymooned there) and I'm hopeful to go back to some of those places in the future. I just wish it were easier to drive our car over and visit for a few days!
