Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor! - STAGED? or.. Will there be more that's been PROMISED?!

in #ufc7 years ago

Good afternoon Steemit community!

Today, I've come to the realization that boxing as a whole is officially DEAD. Trust me, I am no casual individuals to the sport of boxing or any other combat sport. I am well aware that the real match-up is happening September 16th, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-1-1) vs. Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin (37-0-0) which will show the true spirit of a boxing fight between two superior A-level boxers.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

However, I am not going to completely neglect the fact that the reason why the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor was sanctioned in the first place was due to its capability of selling out an arena, with two prominent figures in their respective arts of combat and their forever growing charismatic way of slicing & dicing their opponent's psychological confidence. But the way things have occurred so far.. I wouldn't be shocked if one of them or both, took things personal and decided to depart boxing rules and literally try and beat the living sense out of one another.

Personally, the spectacle itself is going to be filled with excitement since Mayweather hasn't returned to the ring since his last fight against the Philippine fan-favorite, Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao, where he managed to out-box and dominate the Phillipine to a laughable "shoulder injury". Floyd Mayweather has established his presence in the boxing world by not only maintaining a crystal clean record of 49 victories and 0 losses, but also has been the ONLY fighter in history to grace more than $1.3 billion dollars in Pay-Per-View & boxing revenue. I've also gotta give it to Conor McGregor, the guy placed his foot into the UFC and managed to sell overall a $13 million+ Pay-Per-View buys and overall MMA (or UFC for his case) revenue. And currently he is the biggest star in the Ultimate Fight Championship. So the question of "does he really deserve a shot at the undefeated, P4P, boxer?" is debatable, but the McGregor has done a wonderful job over at the UFC.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ARTICLE
In short, I just wanna state that the press conferences that were held in Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and now London, where all borderline unnecessary after the second press conference, and it became an embarrassment (I believe) to the boxing world. Let's just get on with the fight!

REGARDLESS, go ahead and look out on my MWTP FON Youtube channel, I've posted a video showing the shambles at the press conference!

PEACE with you all!
