😱 😱 Jon Jones Tests Positive Once Again........

in #ufc7 years ago (edited)

I am a fan of combat sports mainly MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing, i have not been keeping up with the latest news and just now thought i would have a look at what has been occurring in the realm of MMA and to my shock i discovered that Jon Jones the 2 time light-heavyweight UFC champion has tested positive for steroids AGAIN.

Jon Jones recently returned from a one year suspension after testing positive for a banned substance which he claimed was due to tainted "dick pills". He returned and impressively won his bout against Daniel Cormier to win back his championship belt, i can only imagine how this news must make Daniel Cormier feel right now.

So as of right now Jon Jones has been stripped of his title and is no longer the UFC light-heavyweight champion with Daniel Cormier being reinstated as the champion, the UFC released a statement which you can see here, it can be easy to miss news like this with everyone so focused on the Mayweather vs McGregor bout due to take place this weekend on the 26th August, as bad as this is for Jon Jones' career it does however generate a lot of interest from fans on the future of the light-heavyweight division.

Oh man, it's sad that this happened. I love Jon Jones as a fighter. He's one of my favorites in any type of fighting sport. I know he's been given a lot of chances to get together, but it seems he's taking it for granted.

I really did hope that he completely changed and got his act together. But even though this happened, I still view him as my hero and I'm rooting for him to become a better person.

When you fall, you're supposed to get up back to your feet. But I don't think people will let Jon Jones this time around. I do wish him the best of luck in his journey of life!

That is a good take on things, i do wish him the best also but i can't imagine that the UFC will want to work with him any longer @mr-upup

Hey man, yeah I was honestly really cheering for Jones, and hoping for a Jones vs. Lesnar heavyweight showdown sometime in the future. Sad to see probably the greatest MMA fighter of all time (outside of Silva) go down like this. You should check out my article I wrote on this as well if you've got some time!

It is sad sight to see watching Jon Jones fall from grace (again) @thefourhorsemen i checked out your article too
