With August 1st around the corner there are a lot of people afraid of what is going to happen. No reason to. Your smartest move is to protect your assets before that day.
Here's how:
1 - Move your bitcoins to a wallet only you control (only you have access to the private key). Move it to a paper wallet, to a hardware wallet or to a self owned wallet (bitcoin client on your machine). These are also the best ways to protect your bitcoins at any time...
2 - Don't do any transactions from August 1st until the UASF is solved (hours, days, weeks, ...). Why? If the blockchain does fork, your transactions might end up in the forked blockchain that might get erased when the chains merge again.
