Congrats to @cheekah for winning the October 30 Twenty-four hour short story contest

in #twentyfourhourshortstory6 years ago (edited)

Hey Everyone!

Here in the US we got an hour back from Daylight Savings Time, and now it gets darker much earlier in the evening.  I don't that, I like my sunlight.

But I still have some good stories to share.

And it was pointed out that the prompt was similar to one that was given before, which is probably true.  But Steem as such poor search capabilities that it is difficult to check previous posts.  In fact scrolling through my blog on Steem, it stopped at 10 or so months ago, and the contest has been going on longer than that.

(Which means we are coming on a year of doing this contest.  Pretty cool.)

So let's get to it.

Five Steem to  cheekah for The Little Green Man, I really liked the opening and the fantasy atmosphere it gave.

Three Steem to  tokiya for It isn't disobedience it's compromise, another story where the opening grabbed me and immediately pulled me in.

One Steem to  barakexpansion for Knight which takes the prompt and turns it into a horror story.

Other Entries in no particular order

medusaeffect for Lula which tells the sweet story of a little who is ill and staying in the hospital.

seesladen with How God Wanted it which tells the story from the point of view from the creature the girl captures.

shemzy with My Own Best Pet which tells the story of how the pet would eventually come to protect the family.

Thank you again everyone for your participation!

New contest up soon!

Thank you so much and congrats to @cheekah and @tokiya. My entry into your contest gave me my first curie upvote on this platform. I hope to put in another entry. Thanks once again, this is going to be fun !

Curie follows this contest and upvotes a lot of participants. So even if I don't pick you as a winner you can still get rewards from them potentially.

Wow! Thank you :)
