THE LIE
This past week has been a rollercoaster ride for Rick & Morty fans with story after story saying the beloved show is canceled due to production issues, even here on the Steem community articles were being circulated. They basically depicted a feuding couple of headstrong writers going head to head with their vision causing a total meltdown in production. The story goes further by saying that the first episode of season three released April 1st was a thankful farewell to fans.
THE DRAMA
This story led to more stories and eventually harassment of the creators via Twitter. Fortunately, creator Dan Harmon took to Twitter to combat the rumors and to put the Fandom at ease. He started his 26 Tweet explanation with this
He continued to confess Justin and his regret at the delay in production and explained that it had nothing to do with Justin and his relationship. He said that the simple explanation of why it took so long was he feared to make it worse than season 1 or 2. With such an amazing show you can't help but over think, to obsess and strive for perfection. Ultimately he boiled it down to a few tweets that summed it up nicely.
More to Come | Sooner than you think
Dan and Justin are doing a Live stream on Thursday at 9 pm EST and the rumor is that they may release the next trailer or clip of season three during the hour-long Harmon Town show. The stream is being hyped up saying "don't be late" and "you won't want to miss it" so expect to at least hear something new about Rick and Morty following all the controversy.
Plus the pop-up shop is still on tour around the nation until it ends on October 8th, 2017 in New York City.
