Not a site I visit but it was reposted on a site that I do. I mostly went to read the article because someone had previously mentioned the show and I found the analysis interesting after reading it.
The article has some spoilers in there , so if you are going to watch it , you might want to skip the article until after you've seen it.
Me however , I won't be watching it. Usually I enjoy dystopian / cyberpunk stories (not that this is cyberpunk , dystopian for sure tho) but usually in a lot of dystopian stories , humanity is fighting back and usually wins in the end ... a sort of Hero's Journey , which is more along the lines of my cup of tea ( gotta give your audience hope man ... not drag them down ... bloody hell ... who in the heck wants that!)
Whereas this seems to be more along the lines of 'a boot stamping on a human face forever' kind of dystopian story. Hard to actually say what the intention with this series is though ... more psychological programming to try to keep you down and keep you in your 'place' ... or whether it's more of a warning of 'Don't let this happen' sorta thing .... or maybe just a creative (albeit violent) way of trying to expose how some people on this planet may think.
