Social understanding does not really modify patience. The current demands of society are to do something immediately. And once you get used to it, you may want to have a lot of things right away. The person who thinks patience may be a bit .. odd.

Patience is important; some one can not immediately harvest the land that he has just planted.

While others lose control, you can stay calm and be patient. If someone else has to travel multiple times, you can keep trying. While others are looking for a solution for them, and stay in your path.
