RE: What He Said Friday

in #trump7 years ago

I guess that trump has rightly so identified that opioid and other addictive substances are a real problem facing the world. I just read an article about a baby who died 9 days old, after having had a violent contact with a flat surface, unfed, and in withdrawal from opioid. Then that overdosis is the no1 killing force against those below 50 years in america. I can add tabaco, alcohol, sugar, fat and over medication.

So from this statement it is clear that there is a problem. I can take for example a young 17 old british girl who suicided herself after having cheated her boyfriend and was found with cocaine in her blood.

The problem is that I don't believe that repression works. From my perspective it only fosters the illegal markets. Where no regulations, taxations open debate, unbiased data are accessible, justice or civility are encouraged. It raise attrition and create synergies between free will illegal trades and those on the human trafficking and worst.

Then I take for example adds on fox news for legal medication. There is always a full disclaimer of all risks. Then there is consistency and relative safety of the products.

Furthermore and to the point reported by trump about adding death penalty to dealers, I think that there is something to it. In the sense that the guy who resell, because most are only retailers, a products he knows to kill, for example something with fetanyl derivative so violent that it can't be touched, deserved to die.

But then the problem i am trying to council is that one side it isn't my responsibility of what someone put or remove from his or her body as long as it doesn't infringe on my liberty to do so too.

And then I have the belief that a data driven regulated market is always better in the end. I know it can be freightening for some to have open legal alcohol markets. But I prefer that, than an illegal alcohol market where there is nothing regulated. I read about sometimes the big group of russians who dies from tainted vodka...

And yes, I agree that some in legal markets will try to gain and capture youths as soon as possible. This is where I think that regulations, and consciousness from the regulators and the market must be thought.

In short it is to find balance, between liberty, responsibility and accountability. And the illegal drug market is one of the most interesting and difficult to regulate properly.

One thing is that I believe is that everything in too much can become a poison but love (for the sake of hope). And that if cocaine or opioids and this kind of stuff were legally tradeable, there would more space to solve the problem of addictive substances.

There are a lot of conflicting interests, some want the products, others want the money from the products, others don't want the products but are addicted to it and don't know how to escape, other don't want the money from the products but don't know where to find others income source.

But I can't stop to believe and for a lighter and real final touch for now, on an issue, I am not crystallized yet, is that the wolf of wall street, is grown up enough to put what ever he chose inside his own body, and that what he does, should be regulated in the sense that product quality, safety and consistency could improve by legalization rather than by criminalization.

What would Jesus do? and one last thought :

the AI addiction... knowledge, curiosity, discovery...

and then I see those mothers moving to legal states because their children needs some cannabis derivatives...

the path ways of liberty is certainly the only one leading to god, but there may be violent pitfalls along the way...

the bird came to the water, shaded by the trees, and drank, the dear saw it and move, the reptiles game began, again.

Another problem in this type of discussion is that a lot of people will be dishonest. they will say thing that they never apply to their own children... reciprocity.

What are you trying to work with me? And frankly I oppose nothing, I just trying to express my own personal opinions... and it is very hard to do on this subject.

And if you want to go to the ..., I have no words, in france, speaking is even illegal... and saying that there are health benefits for certain things in thousands of compound plants, illegal too... One sure I am certain are those that support this kind of censorship can be killed. And that I have NO doubt about it.

the enemies of freedom of speech must and will die, infamy, shame and humiliation for them.

OK, thank you. I believe I understand your points now. I want to address this in an essay, so give me a few days (I have several others stacked up to publish; I write an essay daily) and I will do so. You have made me think. Merci!

Do take a look at it , at http://uberthoughtsusa.blogspot.com/2018/03/plants-drugs-and-freedom.html. It was my Friday column. Of course, it is simply the fact that you did make me think some about that scale, not that there is a concrete answer, of the balance between society's obligation to its members through its governance and the individual right to deal with God's creation. Hope you enjoy. there are 850 pieces I have written for that site, if you want to go back and read a lot of them.
