The imposition of tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum to the United States. has put its partners on the international stage on guard
Trump considers the trade war "good" and his allies on the international scene are ready for it.
The US president said he will impose tariffs of 25% on steel imports and 10% on imports of aluminum. Canada, the main supplier of these products to its neighbor, assures that it will retaliate if this occurs.
Trump's obsession with the imbalance in the balance of trade with other countries is not new, but it is the first time that he takes effective measures to counter what he sees as a spoliation.
Economists warn that their industry, and therefore employment, could suffer.
While China and the World Trade Organization are asking for caution, the European Union warns that it will also respond to these measures.

Alexander Winterstein, spokesman for the European Commission, said in an appearance that "protectionism can not be the answer to our common problem in the steel sector, instead of giving a solution this will only aggravate things".
"The EU has been a close ally on US security issues for decades, we will not stand still while our industry suffers unjust decrees that put thousands of jobs in Europe at risk, the EU will react firmly and proportionately to defend their interests", he claimed.
Trump has often evoked a trade war with China, the markets see it for the first time close ... and have reacted with turbulence. Wall Street indices, especially industrial ones, fell significantly in the last session.
