Walking tours in the city in monochrome.

Our walking tour of the central city hill can be started from this street. Three central streets of the city, encircling this hill, were built up after the war on the special instructions of Stalin. Each house was built on an individual project. But on this hill, the residents themselves rebuilt their own homes with the support of the enterprises where they worked ..

Now they are almost gone, but we still try to find them. Only first I want to add that the entire topography of this area is determined by this hill. There is a lot of creeping soil here, so many retaining walls such as this one were built.

And right next to one of these houses, which was restored after the war by local residents. Very often they were assisted by German prisoners of war who were here until the end of the 40s. This house was obviously restored according to the old project, because there was a pronounced Mediterranean architecture. Often they did not even plaster. It's all about the local stone, which holds water well.

Peering into the courtyard you immediately come across a lot of ladders and small platforms. In the retaining walls were made stairways, and the site was planted with trees. The roots of the trees are well constrain strengthen all this mass of soil.

Looking in the opposite direction, you can see some features Stalin buildings. At each entrance to each floor into two or three apartments, a warehouse was allocated. These buildings below are warehouses for local residents. For those times it was just a fabulous convenience

A little down the stairs you can understand the beauty of living in the area. Despite the proximity of the central roads, it is very quiet here. Many trees resemble a wild garden. Ochenb many birds, which also adds harmony.

Ruin of course present. To my great chagrin. I still found times when everything was cleaned and cleaned here. Right behind this wall is one of the stairs that I described in one of the previous posts. She leads to my school. Specifically, this yard was remembered by me because I learned to smoke with my classmates.

And now to the exit from the yard, through the stairs with concrete balusters. Back to the retaining wall that will lead us through the whole city hill.

I repeat, I will make these posts in the city center regular and in monochrome. This gives a taste of wilting, which can often be found here. It's like reading an old newspaper with photos of those times. I hope you will like it.
