CTPSB - Outlook for 2026

According to my calculations, we should have reached a token value of 4 Hive before the end of the year. However, with the changes in curation after HF 28, we will need about 4 weeks more to reach this threshold. The project started in September 2020 and at that time the value of CTPSB was 1 Hive. Fast forward 5 years and probably 4 months later, the token value will be 4 Hive! This means that the token has quadrupled and if we look at the average APR this is 300% in 64 months. If I break this down to an average return per year. This is an average yearly growth of 56.25%!

The only problem is hive...

Of course, the price of Hive matters as well. It's nice and well to have a nice growth in hive but unfortunately the value of hive has decreased in the same time period. The way the project is built up, unfortunately there is no way to hedge this since the full backing is in Hive Power. We hope that the markets will turn around and that we will see a bit higher hive prices.

What to expect in 2026

Since CTPSB is in the umbrella of the Liotes project, our main objective is to give as much value as possible to the token holders of the project. We will do this as follows:

• Increase return with post rewards. Regular post rewards help to grow the return for the project
• Continue with the burning of tokens. There is a burning mechanism in place that allows us to constantly burn tokens at a rate of about 2 CTPSB per week. It's not much but since the value of CTPSB is directly linked to the number of tokens in circulation this has a long term positive effect for token holders.

Use cases for CTPSB

The best use case for the CTPSB token is as a reward token in diesel pools. Since the token grows in value over time, if it is in a reward pool, it grows in value and this increases the apr of the rewards over time.
