One of the areas a little taboo when we talk about tattoos is the spine. Yes, it is a painful area (especially if the design is large). And yes, an anesthetist may refuse to apply the epidural during a possible delivery (although the latest studies on the subject rule out the risk).
Maybe that's why we're still not so used to seeing large tattoos in the area, as it does in other areas of the body. But things are changing and spinal tattoos are becoming trend.
