So I remember it was exactly last year during monsoon I went for treeking with my family to Devkund which is situated in Sahyadris in Western Ghats. You have to cross Tamhini Ghat and reach Bhira. From there its around 4-5km trekking until you witness the beautiful waterfall.
You can hire local guides which can cost you 7-8$ (depends on your bargaining skills).
This place is heaven on earth, it is dense forest with beautiful sceneries along the way. A nature loving person will definately love this place who seek peace in chaotic city life. I would definately visit this place again if the ban is lifted in future. Below are some of my pictures I would like to share with you guys.

Ban on entry to Tamhini, Andharban, Sudhagarh
Pune forest department have imposed ban on entering parts of Mulshi area and Tamhini Ghat.
Tamhini Ghat was listed under protected wildlife areas under forest department in the year 2013. As number of tourist were rising every year it was time to take action for protection of floura and fauna of the region.
Vivek Khandekar, Chief Conservator of forest conducted survey two months ago and found unregulated tourism activities. Locals of Tamhini Ghat region build small snack centres at crowded tourist spots which is destroying biodiversity.
Anyone found guilty tresspassing without permission will face imprisonment of upto 6 years. So I suggest not to enter banned areas until its open for tourists again.
