It can be said that this is a companion tree, after all many like me, already played in them as a child, or rested under its shadow on a hot sunny day.
It is common throughout Brazil. Its origin is not confirmed, but it is speculated that it has come from India and New Guinea.
Its cultivation is common as an ornamental tree and its fruits, although acids and with slightly bitter taste, are edible.

Yes, this tree is very common here in Brazil, especially in the southeast region, here in my city there are several along the beach
