Time Is Flying!
It Is Tree Tuesday Time - Again!!
So I wanted to highlight this nice painting that features a tree. I took a snap of it at the Detroit Institute of Arts. It was painted in 1844 by Thomas Cole and is called "American Lake Scene". It is such a scraggly looking tree that it looks cool to me. It reminds me of some Bob Ross trees!
Sadly this is how all of my local trees look right now!
However, some nice shots can usually be found eventually...
Can the snow just melt already and go away till Spring?!?
Not sure if the bullets holes were included in the original sign...lol

Well it looks like winter where you live, but it's still fall in Texas! I do like ice and snow on trees if it's pretty! Hope you don't get too sick of snow!

Violet, don't let the Ol' Guy fool you ... he loves the snow. He's just pretending so as to garner sympathy. Paul ... why not do a post on the relative merits of different kinds of snow shovels? Perhaps you could demonstrate their various usages.
And hey, I had to wear a long-sleeve shirt last night ... we're feeling the pain too.

Beautiful painting. I loved the photo of the water drop between two pine needles. No ... the snow's going nowhere ... and you know it. And, bullet holes in a "No Hunting, No Firearms" sign is called "American Irony." :-)

Love that painting! We have some scraggly trees near me a bit like that. And that other one looks like a big christmas tree, just needs some decorations. : )

You really do own winter there! Well, I say, do the best with what you have. If you have snow, build a snowman! :)
I like the unusual lines in the painting. It would surely catch my eye if I were walking through the museum.
As a matter of fact, I'm taking it home with me.
