Tree Tuesday

@old-guy-photos

image

I had to look twice at this tree standing at the entrance to the Crystal Bridges Art Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas before determining that it was not real! It is the stainless steel sculpture
"Yield" by Roxy Paine 2011.

Oh, good! I'm glad I am not the only one fooled by it!

Is so cool. For a moment I thing that is a true tree hahaha

It is an amazing piece of art! I wonder if birds are fooled?

That is a cool angle on it! I got my post up if you want to post your link so more may see it. Very nice!

Thanks! We must have been cross posting!

beautiful photos, when can I get there, Bridges Art Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas @melinda010100

It is an amazing, free, art museum. Very much worth a visit.

far away with my country ,, but someday ,, will go away

I love traveling and meeting new people! It is a big wide wonderful world!

Nice shot...and very cool sculpture. I wasn't familiar with Roxy Paine, but this inspired me to look up more of his work. I love it!

Isn't it great? I saw it while researching what his name is for this post. Crystal Bridges is an amazing museum, I'd you ever have the opportunity.

Interesting sculpture and great entry for tree Tuesday!

Thanks, Diane! ❤💕❤

You are always welcome!

Love that you are the inspiration for @schmidthappens tag #inmyneighborhood
What a great idea!

I didn’t know that. I will have to check it out! 😊

wow. great masterpiece. i would love to see it in person.

It is a fantastic museum!

That tree sure did fool me too. Better stay away from it during a lightning storm.

Ha! I had not thought of that! I was wondering if the birds burn their toes on hot sunny days!

Wow double take for sure. What a great piece of artwork. Looks like it's been through a few storms.

Great sculpture by stainless steel..! Obviously a very good camera work here by @melinda

Thanks, my friend! Glad you like it!

That's a cool entry to steel... ops .... treetuesday! ;)
Great photo Melinda and a tree it is, although not a wooden one.

Have a nice day, my friend! :)

Ha!! Mr. Pun Maker! I am pretty sure it qualifies! Even if the squirrels probably don't think so!

Amazing sculpture Melinda. Love the delicate sinewy branches gradually thickening. Looks like the Crystal Bridges Art Museum has really beautiful sculptural parklands.

Reminds me of the silver trees on the side of a mountain here in Oz. They had turned silver after being burnt in bushfires many years previously. 🦋

Awww! Poor trees. This is a fabulous museum for being in the middle of nowhere and has an interesting collection of American artists. I'll post more photos from there soon.

One of the best gallery/museums in Oz is in the middle of what seems like nowhere, but it's actually in the middle of three of the largest capital cities in Oz, and so has been the home of many major national sculpture exhibitions. Perhaps Crystal Bridges Art Museum has a similar vantage position? 🦋

similar to plants

It does look quite real!

nice good work of his

It's really amazing, Melinda! So real!

I bet the squirrels are not fooled!

You won! They are smart as all animals are! Much smarter than humans!

It looks so real and cool!!

Thanks! I thought it was pretty awesome!

Wow, super cool!

You can see the people in the pavilion and that gives a sense of how big it is!

how i feel when im trunk drunk Lol i feel as if im tiping over but not really falling :D

Haha Haha!! Tree trunk drunk!

yup stop selling to that trunk !

Goodness... I would have done the same! But what a wonderful sculpture, imagine if a real tree... love it!

I loved it, too!
