TreeTuesday - Life after a tree's death

This morning there are no longer active fires in Portugal, only activities to keep them off.

My mind and spirit is still with the people that were directly or not by more than 500 fires we had this past Sunday.

I don't have pictures of recently burnt areas, but I have this one showing what comes next to a fire in a death pine trunk.

It was shot when I was doing field work for my master thesis. This was the only burnt trunk I found, probably it was forgotten.
I found beautiful how these two mushrooms were standing there keeping the cycle of life active!

This is my submission to TreeTuesday initiated by @old-guy-photos to share some of our most precious, beautiful (or unusual) trees! This week to share what might happen to a tree if it is burnt and left in the field.

Those mushrooms are in an orange tone, so it is a double submission also to @kalemandra #colorchallenge.

I love your mushrooms!! I remember you told me all about them when I first started on Steemit.

I'm happy to hear the fires are done now. Thanks for that update!

Me too, but I can't remember of sharing anything about mushrooms here. I'm not an expert.

Finally, rain season has arrived, too late, unfortunately! I'm more than pleased to announce it. Thank you!

Okay, this is try number 10.....ugh.

I probably have you mixed up with someone else. I think you were in another occupation and I cant remember now!! Something environmental? Biologist? Something smart anyhow :) Sorry. Old lady brain can't remember everything.

You are having troubles too on comments!? I tried to answer this morning but the site was down. I don't understand what are these issues lately.

You have a great memory! I'm a biologist/ ecologist, but I'm more fascinated with invasive plants. I don't know much about mushrooms, but I love to eat them! ;)

Yes, invasive species.....now I recall. Ha!! I knew it was something smart :) I talked about the invasive Hog weed and Wild Parsnip in our area.....warning signs everywhere. Terrible stuff. And stinging nettle.....I got stung :( Didn't know but wow does that burn!!!

Yes trouble with comments and votes....I swear I voted on something and there is no blue button to prove it. So I've missed a lot. I'm sure everyone is going through the same thing so they'll understand.

Yes, this is affecting all of us. Some are using busy.org, but i don't know how good it is.

the living shroomes on the burnt tree, is outstanding, well thought out, awsome picture & the memory added to :) 💕💕💕 welllll done

Thank you a lot!

Life (and Nature that is always full of the life's energy) will always be the strongest... Let's focus on that ^_^

Good reminder! Thanks for your beautiful words and for your beautiful bluecat!

It was terrible too hear and look at the burned areas in the news :(
It kind of reminds me of the previous times where so many people dies. And the strong hot winds occurred back then too (just like now... I could feel them, ad it was very strange!)

I felt exactly the same this past Saturday with the hot temperatures. Very strange weather that I associate with tragedies!

With this kind of approach, you'll not succeed here! You are new on Steemit and i strongly recommend you to read this post. https://steemit.com/steemit/@thecryptofiend/the-complete-steemit-etiquette-guide-revision-2-0
