Really.. I did not know that, thanks for the info. BTW great photo!

I love cedar. If I were there I'd be hugging this tree. :)

Prickly ones, have to be gentle😂

Even the trunk? All the cedars I know have relatively soft bark. Thanks for the warning, though. :)

Woah thats a really good tip! knowing that could be the determination of life or death!

Nice That is beatiful 🤗

you said the bark will burn if wet, I never knew that

very nice....

That is pretty cool that it burns still. I didn't know that! I have a chest from the 1930s made from red cedar! Good to know it wont be saved if it ever catches fire! LOL

Lmao nope, they smell nice and keep most pesky little critters at Bay though 😎

Thanks @enginewitty. Hey looks so familiar as I was grown and raised in East Tennessee. Thank you for bringing back memories

Right on buddy, what part?

Well, just the top of the tree and the distinct branches , the way there shaped and texture

I heard of those trees, the clever nature otherwise no other words :)

It must be the gases inside it, I know when we burn regular cedar it goes up like gasoline

How interesting!! I wonder why it burns when it's wet. A good tree to learn to identify out in the wild!! :)

Never knew that red cedar burns even if wet -- thank you for the tip @enginewitty🌳🔥
