My Home, My City

I take a look at my reputation,
In eight days it has grown to 43.
Happy as I am but am over qualified,
So this is not an entry for the contest
Its a way of telling you about my city just for fun

The Afang soup had given you a robust taste.
Unarguably, the best meal you've ever had.
But now you wish to have more stomach chambers,
So you would try the Ekpang that looks for inviting..
Or would you rather be adventurous to try the spicy Unam Ewa?

The driver stops at your hotel,
Uncontroled whistling as you gape at its magnificence.
Tonight you watch Angola play at the biggest stadium in West Africa,
Maybe tomorrow you will try the golf resort,
Which looks so irresistible.

30km-long beach of clean sea sand,
Your guide smile and says there are five more in this city.
A visit to the museum earlier,
Had taught you too much of Africa's early days.

On the other side of the town which you never took note of,
People struggle and hustle to make a days meal,
A preacher tries to conned you of a few coins,
But the old man you bumped into had gone with your wallet,
This is indeed a city with many faces you say.

Welcome @kpine to the city of Uyo.
Have fun and enjoy the ride and view,
But hold onto your wallet and phone well,
For where flow honey also has bees.
If you do anyhow, you go see anyhow.

This is the land of promise and fulfilment, this is Uyo, this is Nigeria. My city, my would, my home
