Today we will enjoy a walk through spectacular and beautiful Mochima National Park, which is located between the Sucre and Anzoátegui states in eastern Venezuela. It was decreed as a national park in 1973. It extends along the sea coast of the country between the cities Puerto la Cruz and Cumaná, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches with dolphins and a variety of whales, wonderful landscapes, constituted by a group of islands, lush mountains of leafy vegetation.
There are several of the beaches with access by road such as Playa Arapito and Playa Colorada, as well as beaches on the islands such as Paya Las Maritas, Playa Blanca, Playa Cautaro, which can be reached by boat from different docks in the area, including the city of Mochima to the place favorite.
The park is ideal for water sports such as scuba diving and sailing thanks to its warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The beauty of the park lies in the combination of mountains with cliffs that fall into the sea, spectacular beaches, beautiful islands and islets. In addition, if you are lucky during the trip on the boat or peñero you can see dolphins very close, colony of gannets and many marine animals and birds.
All the towns in the area have restaurants and inns, it is also possible to camp on the beaches. Although the beaches are very quiet during the week, on weekends they become bustling tourist centers.
