Orinoco Delta – Venezuela

in #travelfeed5 years ago (edited)

Hello friends steemit

I love travelling. Now I am very economically limited but whenever I can raise some money I do tourism.

My country, Venezuela, is very beautiful and has many places to spend a different weekend.

The place that I want to present in this publication exists a mostly indigenous population known as the Warao ethnic group, so it is necessary to hire a guide to have communication with the native population. Of course, the guide must speak Spanish, English and the Warao aboriginal language.

You have to be prepared not to use mobile phones or access the internet because in these areas these services are very limited.

It is being in touch with nature, forget about the world for a while and enjoy the maximum of local landscapes.

The departure is usually made from Tucupita, which is the capital of the Delta Amacuro State. Here you must stock everything you need to start an ecological adventure. That is, you have to buy drinking water, have cash, imperishable food, mosquito repellent and a first aid kit.

It is also important to wear appropriate clothing and old sports shoes to get into the water (where they allow it).

I made the mistake of traveling without several of the forecasts that I am indicating so I could not bathe and I was very nervous about the mosquitoes that can cause diseases such as malaria. However, I never got sick.

After the departure from Tucupita, boats can stop at Boca de Uracoa for the supply of gasoline.

From there he goes to a place to camp and even overnight.

Ubanoco facilities are nice and comfortable (taking into account the place) for adventure tourism.

As you can see are simple, multiple and spacious rooms for groups of tourists.

The roof of this great bohío is cane brava and palm (in the style of local people). Architecturally is a design show.

They have many open spaces to walk and enjoy the wild flora; They also have kayaking to navigate.

There is a large and pleasant dining room with tables and wooden benches. Protected with a kind of mosquito net and ornamented with typical plants.

The happiness of being there is total, as these girls pose for this photograph of the memory.

There are navigable channels and others not due to the obstruction of an aquatic plant called Bora that can grow abundantly. A good boatman goes through some of these channels for his experience driving the boats.

In Caño Mánamo there is fantastic flora and fauna. One does not cease to be amazed at how wonderful nature is.

You can also visit some indigenous villages to see and buy some of their handicrafts: baskets, necklaces and bracelets made with local materials. You have to be very cautious when taking pictures because they don't like it.

Finally, we return satisfied. The Delta gave us a beautiful sunset worthy of a quiet weekend amidst the immensity of nature.

All photographs are my own. You can check in Imgur Here.

Thank you for reading. Welcome, your comments.

Infinite greetings and until a next post.

Thank you! Happy to have placed a beautiful place in Venezuela in @steemitworldmap

Wow , your house looks beautiful so sad that Venezuela is getting destroyed by big government

Venezuela is very beautiful but we have a government that is useless. The landscapes that I show in this publication are small before the majesty of nature in the place itself. There is also a lot of poverty in the Delta. Thanks for stopping by this post @brbvbbrbl

Saludos

The state of poverty in the Orinoco Delta is alarming. I showed in this publication photographs of nature and I saw all the misery I saw and lived. In my publication I wrote to invite people to know my country even with the socio-economic conditions we suffer. If you do not suffer from them, I congratulate you; but I have been very bad and many people are too. Well read the entire publication and position yourself. Her comment is in very bad taste and his language refers to the abuse that is lived here of those who think of different social processes and progress. Cheers

Venezuela is also a must visit place!

We will wait for you!

A fantastic place. So lush and green. Your description is vivid and makes me feel as if I'm actually there. Nicely done!

Thank you for your nice comment. It is a great pleasure to travel and describe the natural beauty of my country

Lovely descriptive content on the area, what to expect from the people.

Wealth in nature not disturbed with no easy to access to remote places, people living off the land will not be interested in wealth of city folk.

I have heard some peoples do not like photography taken of themselves at all, it steals a part of their soul, not so sure which regions. Certain areas here in Africa you will be asked to pay the person to take a photograph of them, since they feel you are using their face. Safest is to not photograph people without their permission first.

@tipu curate

Yes, the natives believe that part of their soul is stolen in photography. We must respect those beliefs. I took very discreet photographs and with your permission. Then I showed them.

This is beautiful!!! ... I see they took care to give you guys protection from mosquto bites(:

Hi @mintymile. Thanks for looking at this post. When I did not wear repellents, I had an excellent weekend. The mosquito nets helped a lot :)

Amazing! In times where we hear so much bad news coming from Venezuela it's lovely to see a gorgeous post like this about the beautiful sides of the country <3 Thanks for sharing! I only 'know' Orinoco from this very famous song :')

It is true! We have a lot of problems. But Venezuela has very beautiful natural landscapes, so I hope that when there are efficient public services and quality of life, they can come, with peace of mind, to get to know this country that has a Caribbean, jungle, mountain range and dunes. Thank you for visiting this post

What a beautiful post, @marcybetancourt. Amazing photography, a treasure now forbidden for the average venezuelan and a treasure that is being threatened by the voracity of a criminal government that has said to love our indians while they keep doing anything in their gluttonous power to obliterate them.
I hope one day I can afford to travel to these magical lands.

Thank you for your kind and sincere words @hlezama. The truth is that for Venezuela, travel on our own land is prohibited due to high costs. In addition, the indigenous population lives under threat from the chaotic health system and many other problems. When, one day, we get out of this crisis I would like to travel with you and Manuela. A big hug
