FINALLY LADAKH!!

in #travelfeed4 years ago

How this pandemic hits everyone is different, mine one hits with reviving my hobbies once again, in which one of them is writing. And here I am starting with my trip to Leh Ladakh.
I am sure that the Leh Ladakh trip is mostly in the bucket list of everyone, and mine one finally kicked out. We were planning this trip like 4 months ago for which we had booked airplane tickets in advance which made this trip more exciting.

We booked our flights from Delhi to Leh and landed there around 11 in the morning. We had a pre-booking in hearth hostel and headed straight to there and spent a whole day in the hostel , as it was suggested by localities not to fool around on your first day of travel, due to less oxygen issues.

Ladakh is a small and very beautiful place, with less of the population. All of the people we met there were so nice and helping. We went there in the first week of October, which was the last batch of travellers In Ladakh, as after mid-October most of the places remain blocked due to heavy snowfall, and most hostels remain locked out. And for the first time in my travelling experience, there were very few people around us.

Things to keep in mind
So, my suggestion and experience in this whole trip to other travellers who are planning for there, to not to rush on your first day to explore the city, as the place has less oxygen there, and I 'll suggest to surely rest for one day there, Otherwise the further trip will also get affected. Also try to plan the trip before 2nd week of October, as most of the hostels are shut down by then and the roads get blocked. At my time, only Hearth hostel and Hitchhikers were open. Also, remember to carry postpaid sims with you, as prepaid sim stops working as soon as you enter there.

These all are the photos which were taken from the flight and the view as we can see is so amazing. Starting from city, buildings, roads, traffic, sand mountains we begin to see snow mountains, which is the most awaited part of the journey.

My trip goes like this Delhi - Ladakh – Khardung la - Nubra valley – Pangong lake - Delhi and many other places in between, which I will describe in my next post.

Until then, stay safe and have a nice day :)
