Today marks the 44th Day of South Africa's National Lock-down!
With some of the restrictions lifted, we now stand at Level 4 of the Lock-down, which some sources may say is worse than the level 5 that was implemented on my Birthday, I know right.
Included in this lock-down regulations are some travel bans, which excludes you from moving between provinces. But at first, not even to your friends house? It was just a seven day period where you had time to travel freely between the provinces, from May 1 to May 7, but did not compensate for the thousands of people needing to travel. I, included.
Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to go home, but this was just an eye opener. I understand why they did the travel ban, but it keeps us from living our life, let me tell you, this is not how I want to finish my last year on varsity. But it is circumstances that are out of our hands.
South Africa deployed 70 000 troops since the Lock-down started, and can I tell you, what a free life they are living. And also the way they treat some of the people.
I can tell you the poverty rates are rising, as these regulations that are "set up" to help people. Even the new regulations that states if you want to donate food to the homeless, you have to take it to the government first? Why so that they can see if it's fine to give to them?

Let us talk about the money, they set up funds for people without an income during this time. Where is that money going to? They think they tell us enough, but we are going to get to the bottom of this.
The life we know as today, is changed in so many ways, this thing, has made us afraid of people, our own human beings. It made us aware of hygiene, but maybe that mustn't be the main focus.
Life in the poverty side is so jaw dropping, the way the people are treated are just poorly, and if they do not comply to the rules, they get locked up, or get fines, with an amount that they cannot even pay? Has this thing just turned the government into the enemies?
That is just my opinion? Are these regulation put in place to save us, or to rule us?
