ok well what about your husband? shouldn't you check to see the studies about the effect of soy on men? I've heard it destroys testosterone so that's something that needs to be confirmed or not but if your father inlaw has been eating it his whole life then it should be good.
On the other hand he could just have superior genes! lol.
when I had it I ate it plain because I didn't know what to do with it. lol.
do you know how to prepare it or just your motherinlaw?
Oh, if I would be checking all ingredients that we're eating I wouldn't do anything else just worry :) and as they eat it in the family for ages I don't see any risk :) I try to eat as healthy as possible but I also enjoy my food so I'm not trying to over analyze it :)
Well, plain it's really not good :) When I do it at home I grill it with smoked paprika powder, some cayenne pepper and a little bit of oil.. delicious!
But my mother in law is the expert in Asian cuisine! I don't cook Asian at home as we visit them every month so it's not needed :) I rather come here and I'm sure it's going to taste great!
ok...what kind of oil does she use to cook that stuff with?
you guys go there every month? geez..well, I guess you just drive over, I keep forgetting how close every thing is over there. like you can put the whole of Europe inside Texas practically! lol.
do you want me to agree with you in prayer about anything or if you want to talk on discord don't forget if you want that.
it's late there I know.
I have no idea.. I've never been to her kitchen :) Not even my husband is allowed to go there :D
Well, it's 700 km door to door. It still takes us around 7 hours (sometimes longer) because of the traffic. Well, we want to see them as much as we can..
We can talk tomorrow on discord.. I'm not going to bed yet but I just don't want to talk about it today :) I hope you understand..
oh I totally understand but if it's bad news then that will force me to be nice to you AGAIN tomorrow! lol.
this is going to change my whole personality and you won't recognize me anymore!
what the?? the kitchen thing..is this a cultural thing because I've never heard of anything like this..never been to her kitchen and no one is allowed in???
that's just not possible...is it? where is the kitchen? it's usually the center of the social life of the house where everyone gathers, at least here it is.
I don't understand.
Hey I did a post today, not a single shot fired by the hero so it was a little boring but just your style. I don't suppose you can look at it sometime and tell me how to improve it?
I'm not looking for votes I just trust your opinion on account of you being so dang smart and everything.
It's like a temple you know.. it's not like I'm really not allowed.. I just don't dare going there, lol! In Indonesia you are being served.. and this is what they keep from their culture so I don't even pour my own water :D
They keep asking me all day if I want this or that and then they bring it to me. When I finish eating or drinking they clean everything after me..
Food is the center of their life.. it's just a little bit different to what we are used to. It was also strange to me at the beginning but I got used to it..
Hahaha, my style? Ok, ok, I'll have a look tomorrow morning, is it fine? I'm pleased that you trust my opinion.
Oh man!!! I hope Mrs. J won't notice your personality change :D if she got used to the teasing Jonboy she might not like the change to a nice boy like you're now :D
wow Martina, I want to go visit those guys too! I'll even eat super tofu! dang. that is so different. well here the woman would be highly offended if the visiting wife didn't help her in the kitchen so this is totally opposite!
No wonder you feel like a queen there! so that's the way you're going to work it in your house? or do you guys just order pizza and shout "Every man for himself!" lol.
When I'm organizing dinner at home for my friends I also don't let my guests help me. But my kitchen is together with the dinning room so I can talk to them while cooking :)
Usually they ask if they can help but I don't like anybody helping me with cooking :) And my experience is the same when I visit my friends. I ask them if they need help but they always say, just sit down and enjoy :)
Come to the Netherlands! I'm sure she would love to prepare a meal for you :)
