Hello My Lovely Steemian Friends Today i Want to Share a Little History the famous Mayfield Falls Located on the Island Jamaica, and also some Photos taken from my recent visit with friends to beautiful getaway spot
Mayfield Falls is an eco-tourism destination centrally located in the beautiful parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica.
It's consisting of two beautiful waterfalls to explore, 21 natural mineral pools, 52 varieties of ferns and a lots of exotic flowers , plant species, lots of birds, butterflies and wildlife native to the island of Jamaica.
Most parts of the Mayfield Falls are relatively calm. You will not find some of the great waterfalls here that you would usually find elsewhere on the island, but how ever, this is really a spectacular outing for the day.
Of course you have to keep in mind the current can varies depending on the number of rainfalls in the area. normally, the force of the water here is not that powerful.
The water here is extremely refreshing and the setting is awesomely beautiful!
At Mayfield Falls you you get the feeling like you are exploring a jungle – with a variety of lush plants everywhere.
Things to note:
First of all that's me Chilling i never got into the water because i mainly take my friend for the visit
The stones can be very slippery so you are recommend to wear water shoes.
For those of you who are concerned about sunburn – need not to worry because there is a lot of shades all around.
The expected level of physical activity here to some people might be medium. Because walking through the water might take about about an hour. Many non-athletic people get through it quite smooth so do not let this discourage you. Mayfield has wonderful experience tour guides on spot to help anyone who is in need of it
Things to know
They might try to sell you a CD with pictures taken with their cameras and the alternative to that is to always bring your own g camera along with gears and your guide will surely take your photos for you .
There is a café located on the premise that offers awesome local Jamaican cuisine what ever you desire.
You are expected to be generous to your tour guides with a tip at the end, as is the case with many other tours you partake in on the island. They truly love their job and it is vivid when they show you all around.
