I want to share with you my visit to this amazing city!
In October I went to visit Seville, the capital and largest city of Andalusia Spain. During the daytime, it was still very warm, in the afternoon 39 °C .In its Old Town it was very easy to get lost through the small streets. You have to be prepared to walk a lot. There are many squares with small restaurants that offer typically Spanish food and the famous “tapas” . Next to the river Guadalquivir you find the Torre del Oro, built as a defensive tower by the Moors in the 13th century to control access to the city, this tower was part of the defensive walls of the city and overlooks the Guadalquivir River. Windows in the tower serve as lookout points while arrow slits allow the defenders to fire at the attackers without exposing themselves. There is an indoor naval museum.
The tower is close to historical monuments like the Alcazar, the Cathedral and tower of La Giralda.
The tower of La Giralda we accessed through the Cathedral, which is amazing. ( you might have to wait in a queue a bit of time to enter)There are 34 levels to go up in La Giralda you have to go up, amazing views to the city when you get there. Amazing!
To relax afterwards we went to the Plaza de Espana and the park Maria Luisa, really amazing looking , I really enjoyed to sit there, relax and enjoy. It is an impressive building, in a never ending square, with a large park in front. Simply stunning! You can spend quite some time here chilling out
I will go back for sure, there is still so much to see in this amazing city!
