It's no secret that I love to travel. I love the entire process from start to end. The packing, the journey to the airport, the airport waits, the shitty airport food choices, the plane journey, the navigation, the wandering around foreign streets, the tired but excited feeling. All of it.
When i'm stressed, I travel.
When i'm happy, I travel.
When i'm working, I travel.
When i'm over the rain and in need of sun, I travel.
When i'm feeling lost, I travel.
And of course when I have any spare time at all.. I plan to travel.
What can I say, I was born to travel.

I've seen a hell of a lot of cities and islands, but in terms of countries I have only covered 28 as of now. Here they are:
England (i’m including this one because I try to travel the country as much as possible)
Scotland
France
Germany
Monaco
Belgium
Italy
Latvia
Croatia
Spain
Portugal
Bulgaria
Turkey
Norway
Canada
USA
UAE
Tunisia
India
Thailand
Cambodia
Laos
Malaysia
Singapore
Indonesia
Philippines
Japan
Australia
I've loved all of them in some way or another. My favourites have been:
Japan - this is the only place i've been so far that i've felt culture shocked, simply because it's so different to anywhere I have ever seen and you really can't rely on anyone speaking English. Which I love! I love how authentic Japan is. Truly a mesmerising trip.
India - so close to my heart and just the most incredible country from the people, the smells, the vibrancy, the noise. I'm honoured to be half Indian and feel so completely connected to this beautiful land.
Singapore - I could never miss out Singapore because it's the first country I ever moved to. It gave me so much and changed my life in every way. Singapore gave me a platform to travel and a whole new love for travel too. Plus it really is a little bubble of pleasantness, with little crime, sunny skies and kind people it's a whole new world.

Next on my travel wish list from March 2018 - March 2019:
I want to go to South America more than anything, but I think I need more time to properly explore. So I will leave it out of my wish list for now. Since i'll be in Europe from May onwards, I thought I better put European countries on my hitlist.
Iceland - been dreaming of going here since forever!
Netherlands - I can't believe I still haven't been here!
Hungary - need recommendations!

How many countries have you been to?
If you have any off the beaten track recommendations for these 3 places, let me know :-)
Yasmine
Hey, travel is one of my favorite things, too! They say it’s the only thing you can “buy” that makes you richer... Will count today the countries I’ve visited :) Hey, I didn’t know you visited Croatia? 😊
I totally agree with you! Yes and I love Croatia! Such a beautiful country!
Really is... small but beautiful! Don't be a stranger next time you're around @yasminep :)
I'll definitely get in touch! :-)
Been to 25 and hoping to increase this in the next 2 years significantly :-) We haven't though been to any of the 3 you mention but we can tell you that Hawaii definitely stole our hearts! From amazing hikes in the green valleys, incredible snorkeling, the amazing experience of seeing lava hitting the ocean - the 4 islands we went have been a massive highlights of all our travels! It is a more expensive destination but wahoo!
Oh wow. I can't even imagine! I would absolutely love to go! Thanks for sharing guys :-)
Iceland is on my list too.... but the top is Nepal and Micronesia. But it will be after my trip to Belgium and Bali (or other tropical destination close by to relax). Safe travels and keep enjoying life ღ ღ ღ
Ooooh Nepal is definitely up there! Would absolutely love to visit!
Oh We loved Bali! We went few years ago and traveled around the island for 14 days in a scooter - I posted today a photo of the terrace rice fields. It was my first asian country of this type and absolutely loved it! Need to explore inland Bali!
Bahhh, Iceland’s been on my list for 2 years now. I wanna try and go in October this year. I hear it’s quite expensive though.
Amsterdam is an absolute must and if you can, maybe go there for Kings Day?
Budapest is my favourite city in Europe, best to go in summer and I will have some recommendations for you! @allasyummyfood is going there next weekend so she will give you tips as well :-)
I’m not 100% sure how many countries I’ve been to, close to 50(?) I think and like you, I won’t stop there :-) Japan must have been mind blowing!
P.S. Just checked and I’m at 54 (including Latvia) 🇱🇻
54!!!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL! That's amazing! List them woman! I wanna see where you've been! I've been to like 200 odd cities or something, but not many countries. And yes Iceland man. Got to be done!
Poahhh that’s too many. What I can tell you from the app is that I’ve done 59% of Europe and 22% of the world. Haha - a fifth! That doesn’t sound a lot at all 😬
40 odd and counting over 5 continents.
Also I was unaware Sicily was a country!
Haha apparently it's not ;-) Changing that one! Haha
Woah 40 odd is amazing! Love that.
I've been to embarrassingly few countries. If you are searching for a cool destination that is both cheap and unexpected try Sarajevo in Bosnia. The food is amazing and it's much more like Turkey then Croatia even tho it's our neighboring country. It's a truly amazing blend of central European and Oriental influence as it has been both under Austria and Turks.
I also loved Germany. It's by far the most beautiful country I've ever been to.
My plans are Denmark and Ireland. I would really like for my kids to be like you, to make traveling and experience a priority over the material so I'll do my best to make it happen.
Oooooh I would love to go to Bosnia! I will add it to my list. It sounds to me like your'e already doing a fabulous job with your kids. Keep the content coming @big.mama ! I'll be heading over to check out your page shortly :-_
I totally feel the same way, except financial and family obligations have held me back up till now. But I want to change that in the future and show my girls the world! I am Canadian but have been coast to coast (but not up north yet), and I have been to many areas of the US, Mexico and last month I took my girls on their first international trip to Belize. Mexico is on my list for next year and when I turn 40 in 2.5 yrs, I want to spend a month in Europe and visit France, England, Netherlands and maybe Germany if I can fit it in!
Good for you! It's great to have goals like that! If you make it to England, let me know :-) I'll be there!
Will do!
I have the travel bug too! I had the luck of take 2 years off and I backpacked Asia and South America for 2 years and in SA hitchhiking was so fun. Now I've traveled to around 45 countries. I want to do a big hitchhiking trip from Barcelona to Tokyo hitchhiking! that would be cool!
www.instagram.com/wearethepassengers for some pics!
45 countries!!! WOW! I'm planning a crazy train travel soon. Need to get it figured out. I'm going to come to you when I need tips for traveling South America!! :-)
Sure! South America is just so great!
We don't want to be THAT person, but we have to correct something on your list: Sicily is not a country. It's a part of Italy.
Still 25 countries is damn impressive!
Yes, South America excites us too, but needs more planning. Sam has been to Peru and Bolivia, but doesn't mind going back again.
Your countries for 2018 are all awesome especially Iceland. Again, Becca hasn't been, but Sam loved it there. He went in the summer when the sun never set. It was expensive for sure, but having lived in London at the time, the prices were comparable with one another.
✈️👫
Haha no worries guys, there's always one ;-)
Thanks for pointing that out though! Will correct that now. How many countries have you guys been to now? Must be loads?
Cool! Sometimes people don't like being corrected, but that's great that you are cool with it.
We've been to a few countries, but not enough :p
Sam - 41 and Becca - 29 (will be 30 in two weeks with a trip to Singapore). Still we want to cover more of South America, North/Central America and Africa. The islands in the Pacific too, but that will need some saving...to be honest everywhere needs some $$$.
✈️👫
That's still lots! Wow! Great work, guys. I'm aiming to see at least 10 new countries by the end of 2019. If you need any tips for Singapore, just hit me up :-) I might be there at that time too.
Just realised I missed off Philippines so i'm back to 26.
We actually forgot three for Sam and one more for Becca. We saw someone's list above - we have both been to the Vatican and Sam has been to San Marino and Monaco.
10 new countries by the end of 2019 is feasible. Though, you will have a lot of traveling in 2019 if you are doing only three this year.
Cool, a potential meet-up, but otherwise recommendations are great! 😊
✈️👫
Oh gosh I am forgetting places now too! Hahah. Yeah my problem is I travel 2-3 times per month, but usually countries I have already been to for work.

I want to travel the world just like you in the near future as my bucket list! Please check my few Philippine tours @yasminep i think you'll like at least one of them. Honestly i mean to promote my blog, but its what i think that may help someone. Thanks! :-)
Awesome! i'll check it out! Thanks! Just realised I left the Philippines off my list! Added it now :-)
Wow! That's a lot of country you've been to compare to me!
Hope my country will feature on your list soon...I'm from Mauritius btw!
Oh wow! I would love to go there! Is it possible to do on a budget I wonder?
