Exploring Bohol for one day is very fun.
Bohol is located in Central Visayas region. Its capital is Tagbilaran. You'll see many attractions like Chocolate Hills, Tarsier, Beaches, their foods and even the largest snake that I have ever seen in my entire life!
This is Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). The hills are covered in green grass and sometimes it turns brown if it's dry season. I tried to count them but I usually lost in numbers because of it's side by side hills.
The sizes of the hills are usually like from 30 to 50 metres (98 to 164 ft) high with the largest being 120 metres (390 ft) in height.
There are some legends about how chocolate hills were made.
It also have been declared the country's third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Cool!
Aside from that, we went to the zoo. Wherein you will see the Philippine Tarsier.
Sorry, the tarsier is camera shy. I find it hard to capture/took some photos. It's quite blurred because I tried to zoom the image.
The Philippine Tarsier were about 85 to 160 mm (3.35 to 6.30 in) in height. It's like half of the size of the ruler!
That's why I find it hard looking at them on the trees because of it's size. I need to zoom the image in order to take photos of them. They called it as Mamag locally.
Aside from that, their eyes are fixed on their skull, they cannot move their eye sockets. Instead, their necks can rotate to 180°. They have large eye and their fur is colored gray to dark brown.
Moreover, During the day, they sleeps in dark hollows close to the ground, near the trunks of trees and shrubs. It becomes active only at night so as they can roam around on the trees and be able to avoid humans. That's why they are camera shy. :)
This is Loboc River, one of the tourist attractions in Bohol. The river is about 1.5 kilometers. The floating restaurant can accommodate 50 persons and has a live band.
They have welcome song for the tourist. And you can sing and dance a long with them.
Exploring Bohol will surely go back here.
