Call it the “Taj Mahal of Cebu.” The grandiose Temple of Leah was built by a man as a testament to his love for his late wife.
Love made Temple of Leah possible as Teodorico Adarna, father of actress Ellen Adarna and owner of Queensland motels, offers the construction of the huge edifice to his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna.
“This Temple was constructed in the year 2012 A.D as a symbol of my undying love for her and my ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna,” he noted on their FB page.
And because this was made out of love, it doesn't only welcome visitors with the spectacular view of the city but also with the warmth of the place.
A few months back, the news of a temple being built in Brgy. Busay made a lot of locals excited since there’s not much Roman architecture you can find in Cebu. Because Roman architecture is popular for being so intricate and different, we can’t wait to see what the temple would actually look like from outside to the inside.
Guess what, after a long wait, at last it’s complete.
s you approach the temple, you will be in awe of the gigantic gold lions at each side of the stairs leading to the entrance. As you enter the doors of the building, the grand staircase will leave your mouth hanging.
Some of those who have already visited the place described that they feel like they’re in ancient Rome. It would take years of saving for most of us to be able to afford to go to Rome, so visiting this place would perhaps suffice
Entrepreneur Teodorico Adarna dedicated the temple to his wife of 54 years. Leah died of lung cancer in 2012 at 69. The edifice is meant to be a repository of her items gathered from her travels.
