RE: Deported! Leaving Mexico the hard way: Part 7

in #travel7 years ago

I take it back, this was better than the last part. Your girlfriend is full of incredible insight. I'll be following both of you on here :-)

I wrote a bit about words and metaphors and how they affect how we see the world. I haven't delved too much into this kind of spiritual word play though I did get a few pieces of it reading "conversations with god". It would be interesting to hear more about.

Thank you sir. She's not my girlfriend, but she is incredible. I don't think she's posted anything yet but hopefully soon. She'll probably bring a lot of her followers here.

Oh yes, metaphors are very important with our perspective. In customer service and sales, a lot of people use metaphors relating to wars, battles and so on. It's dangerous because it can set an adversarial frame before you even begin the conversation. Tony Robbins talks a lot about this.

Thanks for all your comments! Talk soon

Ah sorry, got a little confused then. Waiting for part 8!

I have a blog series on steemit called Optimism at the End of the World . It deals a lot with a lot of the same topics you mention. Check it out if you have time.
