Skeptical about Air China's Free Transit Hotel Layover? Here's My Review

in #travel8 years ago

Might sound too good to be true. Come on! A free night at a hotel with free transportation to and from the airport! Is it possible to get out of the Beijing Airport? I ventured to try since I had a 22 hour layover in Beijing and this is my experience.

Just know that I had to sign up to take advantage of this before even getting to Beijing. Calling Air resulted in many calls on hold, so I went to their office in person. This got the job done quickly and I knew even the name of the hotel (after asking).

Upon arrival I had instructions to go to the line that is for the 72 hour Visa. I showed them my boarding pass for the next leg of my trip and got through inspection.

After picking up my luggage, I was taken to a waiting area. Then went to the hotel.

By this time I was hungry. So I ate at the restaurant next door and used Chinese RMB. The room was not bad and overall pretty good for no extra charge.

Breakfast

The next morning I got my free breakfast and went back to my room. Then, I got a wake up call at the schedule time and was taken to the airport. Just make sure you know which terminal you want to be dropped off at. :D

I know there are multiple hotels that I could have be placed at and this one was not bad. If I fly Air China again, I wouldn't mind taking advantage of their transit hotel service.

Ever experience Air China's Transit Services? How was it?
