welcome to the eleventh part of our round trip on the Island of Corsica which takes us to the port of L'Île-RousseHallo Steemit,
willkommen zum elften Teil unserer Rundreise über die Insel Korsika, welche uns in den Hafenort L'Île-Rousse führt.
The harbor town was named after a red rock island, on which stands a lighthouse. The small island is now connected with a dam to the Corsican mainland.
Die Hafenstadt wurde nach einer roten Felseninsel benannt, auf der ein Leuchtturm steht. Die kleine Insel ist jetzt mit einem Damm mit dem korsischen Festland verbunden.
We drove from our apartment in Lama first north-west to the coast and then always along the coast road to the west.
Wir fuhren von unserer Ferienwohnung in Lama zunächst Richtung Nordwesten zur Küste und dann immer auf der Küstenstraße entlang weiter Richtung Westen.

L'Île-Rousse is a port town. The ferries connect the city with the Mediterranean ports of Toulon, Marseille, Nice and Vado Ligure.
L'Île-Rousse ist eine Hafenstadt. Die Fähren verbinden die Stadt mit den Mittelmeerhäfen von Toulon, Marseille, Nizza und Vado Ligure.

After that we walked through the small town. On the market square in front of the church held an autocorso. Otherwise there was not much to photograph in the city.
Danach sind wir noch durch die kleine Stadt spaziert. Auf dem Marktplatz vor der Kirche hielt ein Autocorso. Ansonsten gab es in der Stadt nicht viel zu fotografieren.
On the way back we made a break at the beach "Plage de Lozari". It was warm and we wanted to go swimming, but due to the heavy winds we did not dare to jump into the water and watch the kite surfers instead.
Auf der Rückfahrt machten wir Pause am Strand "Plage de Lozari". Es war warm und wir wollten eigentlich auch baden gehen, aber durch den heftigen Wind haben wir uns nicht ins Wasser getraut und stattdessen den Kitesurfern zugeschaut.
This day was our last day with overnight in Lama. The next day we went to the south of Corsica to our second accommodation.
Dieser Tag war unser letzter Tag mit Übernachtung in Lama, damit endete unserer erste Woche Urlaub auf Korsika. Am nächsten Tag sind wir dann in den Süden von Korsika zu unserer zweiten Unterkunft gefahren.

Thank you @ace108. Shots where taken on 30th September 2011, it was a Friday (no weekend) and summer school holiday season was over in (nearly) all european countries. And their were strong winds from north.
