Life is short I have made a list for place to go before i die.
1. Bagan – Myanmar
Bagan is an ancient city that was the capitalof Pagan between the 9th to 13th centuries. During this period over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone but only 2200 temples and pagodas are left standing today.
2. Zhangye Danxia Landform in Gansu – China
The Danxia landform is a unique type of petrographic geomorphology found in China. It is formed from red-colored sandstones and conglomerates of largely Cretaceous age. These multi-colored slopes give you the sensation of walking into a painting.
3. Meteora, Greece
The Meteora is one of the largest Orthodox monasteries in Greece and is built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessal.
4. Salar de Uyuni: One of the World’s Largest Mirrors – Bolivia
Measuring over 10’000 square kilometers, the Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes and the salt crust is several meters deep.
5. Santorini Island – Greece
Santorini is a beautiful island of the coast of Greece with a population of 15,550. The island is what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion destroyed the earliest settlements and created the current caldera.
6. Hitachi Seaside Park – Japan
This public park covers 190 hectares and features blooming flowers around the year. It has become famous because of it’s baby blue-eyes flowers, with the blooming of millions of blooms in spring time. In addition, in the park you can also find a million daffodils, 170 varieties of tulips, and many other beautiful flowers.
7. Petra – Jordan
Petra is a historical and archaeological city and is famous for being built into rocks. Established around 312 BC as the capital city of the Nabataeans, it is the most visited tourist attraction in Jordan
8. Machu Picchu – Peru
Machu Picchu is an Inca city located 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level. It was Incas built around 1450, but abandoned later due to the Spanish Conquest. Machu Picchu has become a popular tourist attraction with many of the buildings being rebuilt to give tourists a better idea of what the structures originally looked like
9. Pamukkale – Turkey
Pamukkale features hot spring terraces of carbonate minerals. People have bathing here for thousands of years and terraces are often referred to as cotton wool.
10. Plitvice Lakes – Croatia
The Plitvice Lakes National Park was founded in 1949 and is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe. It stretches over 296.85 square kilometers and each year, an estimated 1.2 million visitors come to see this breathtaking park.
