Hey dear Steemians and today I've decided to reveal some very useful traveling tips for Germany. We all know that the most pricy things in travelling is actually taking different types of transport to go from A to B and C and all other points that stand in your list. Different countries have different transport systems and even in the same country going from one city to another you might see some differences.
So, today I'll be talking about traveling in Germany. There are 16 federal states in Germany each of them has its own state constitution they also vary in their legal systems like the police law and other things. What does it have to do with travelling you'd ask? No of course the legal system is in our interest, but the 16 states, because every state tries to make it as fine as possible for its citizen to travel inside it.
For example, I've often met people travelling in Bavaria (where I live) paying about 40-70 euros to get from one city to another. Because no one of them knew about so called "Bayern Ticket" which allows you to travel in the whole state of Bavaria for a day just for 25 euros per person. The biggest advantage of this ticket is that you can buy it to travel with up to 5 people paying extra 6 euros for another person. So, 1 person- 25 euros, 2 people - 31 euro, 3 - 37, 4 - 43, 5 - 49! Which make is about 9,8 per person, if you are travelling in a group of 5. Another great point of buying it is that you don't have to buy any bus, tube, tram tickets with it, because the price includes it too!
Most importantly this kind of system exists in every region. And before going to travel in Germany, if you wish to spare a few coins for a "mass" (1Liter) of beer and a sausage, it would be the best if you take your time looking on the website of the official German railway company "Deutsche Banh" to see the offers and directions. Let me help you a little by sharing this link in English:

Thanks for reading! Feel free to ask me more questions when needed.
Have a great day,

It was a great help to travel with your efforts.
9,8 per person is way more better then 40 :) thanks for sharing @trickartreat
I think so too :) thanks! It's so great that you can just meet some random people on the train station that are taking the same direction as you, and share a ticket with them paying less
Great tip, we will be in Berlin in October but this won't help us since our train ride will take us to Prague.
@hilarski The only thing that comes to my mind when I hear Prague is beer :)
Thank you :) "Deutsche Bahn" has offers for the whole Europe: https://www.bahn.com/en/view/offers/europe/saver-fare-europe.shtml?dbkanal_007=L04_S02_D002_KIN0060_NAVIGATION-LINKS-SPARPREIS-EUROPA_LZ01 :)
Traveling on a budget is a disciplined practice, if done properly you can save a bundle and use them towards future journeys. Great guide here Val! Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I can't be more agreee with you. Planning at least one or better two months before the travel is the key for saving some gold. :)
didn't know about that ticket, used just train (200km+ per hour) speedy one, and i think it was 25 euro each ticket 1 way , so for 2 its 50 euro and if we consider 2 way 100 euro and it was standing places without sits haha, added link to favourites in next visit to germany will use
Hey, these are regional tickets and allow you to travel cheaper within a region. If you're going from one region to another there are different offers and if you travel long distance from one side of Germany to another, there are even more potential choices to make depending on how much money and time you're ready to spend. If you need to travel quick, it's better to take ICE (speed trains), they are very quick and possibly no changes will be required again depending on where you're, but they are very pricey unless you book them a few month earlier. If you have time you can find a much cheaper ticket, which will take you 2-3 hours longer and a few changes. :) so, use their app or official website www.bahn.com . But 25 euro is a very good price for a speed train even with a standing place! ;)
great trip...and nice information...
thanks :)

nice post
thanks :)
Isn't there a ticket you can buy for tourists from other countries if you're going to be doing alot of traveling in one day? I thought I was able to buy like a 1 day pass and anywhere I traveled in Germany for that 1 day was a single price. I saved a lot of money doing that compared to my brother who was living there at the time.
i wish i can be there :D
Now that is some very useful information! Tnx
I had no idea about it, really useful
Thanks for the post...!!
In Hamburg, there are three major orchestras, an opera house, and one of the great concert-hall acoustics in Europe at the Laeiszhalle, in a town a fifth the size of London. And that's not unusual. In Germany, there are dozens of towns with two or three orchestras. The connection with music goes very, very deep.
Too bad it's only good for group travelers because I'm a solo traveler.
meep
to travel cheaply in Germany will be fun because it's very hard to find a cheap rate in Germany so, this post will a worthy one.
