Lady Douglas Boat Cruise Port Douglas

A great and affordable river boat cruise in Port Douglas that goes for approximately 90 minutes, with complimentary drink on board.

A locally owned, family business this cruise is great for all families with small children through to teenagers and adults. The booking process is as easy as a phone call or walk in to the agent at the marina. Once you arrive on the paddle boat-esque boat at the marina you are greeted by at least one of the owners. Payment can be made by cash or card on the boat making it as simple and stress free as the Port Douglas attitude is.

With a complimentary drink (choice of beer, wine, champagne or soft drink) in hand you are ready to start the cruise. Throughout the whole tour you are given a great commentary by the driver and owner of the boat. From the beginnings of Port Douglas as a gold rush town to the mangrove inlet, animals and landscape around the river.

The boat is slow cruising so there is plenty of opportunity to walk around and get a 360 view of the river. With the exciting possibility of crocodile spotting, unfortunately there weren’t any crocs spotted on my trip but the previous day there had been 3 spotted.

Once the boat is turned around heading back to the marina the boat cruises along the wharf and out into the harbour for a unique perspective of the town foreshore. With helpful local hints about the best places to eat, watch the sunset and extreme house hunting it is a great end to the trip.

I would highly recommend this tour to any families, singles or couples travelling to Port Douglas and wanting a unique (and cost effective) perspective of the town in addition to travelling to the reef.
