Hey there awesome peeps! How are you all doing?
Yea, we know that we haven’t been posting daily, but doing decent length travel blogs while actually being on the road and seeing places is not as easy as we thought at first. Hahaha But… on the bright side we have put together our Angkor Wat vlog. We are a bit behind the schedule but we will ensure that we catch up so that you guys can have the most recent travel stories. Hehe
Angkor Wat short history
To give a basic background - so according the most famous Wikipedia - Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares (1,626,00 m2, 402 acres). And it was originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. It was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century.
The one day entrance in the Angkor Wat temple complex costs $37. Also we opted for the most eco-friendly way to get around the temples - bicycle - a 24hr rent set us back only $2. But it’s also possible to take a tuk-tuk for about $15 or a private car for $30-40. But as always it depends on your negotiation skills (some peeps pay $30 for a tuk-tuk).
It was purely an amazing experience and definitely the most impressive temples that we have ever seen. They got us so exhausted because we were riding our bicycles for almost 12hrs - CRAZY. But it was so much fun. Just check the vlog.
Stay tuned for more travel video, vlogs and just more fun! Thanks for being with us and much love!
Cheers and safe travels!
Love you all!
