Cleland Conservation Park

in #travel7 years ago

I've taken a break from the wine world in my last couple posts and talked more about some travels that I've been on! My husband and I have traveled a lot and it's definitely something that we'll keep doing, so documenting these travels is extremely important to us. Next big purchase? A better camera. 📷📷😉

I have always been an animal lover, and one of the first things I wanted to do when we moved to Australia (besides drink all the wine!) was see their wildlife! My eyes were constantly scanning the sides of roads hoping to catch a glimpse of anything in the wild and yes, eventually there were lots of moments when this happened, but to kick things off we visited the Cleland Conservation Park in the hills outside of Adelaide.

The park creates a sustainable environment in natural bushland for all it's animals and I was completely blown away by how big this place was! It allows you an opportunity to completely immerse yourself amongst some of Australia's native species, and I definitely got to check some things off of my bucket list!

❤️❤️❤️Eeee wallabies!❤️❤️❤️

One of the other things that really surprised me was how many types of birds there were! In Canada we have a lot of birds too, but I honestly don't pay that much attention to how many. Walking through this park, I was just as excited to see these random birds as I was to see the kangaroos. SO. MANY. BIRDS.

Bush Stone-Curlews - these were the prettiest birds I had ever seen. 💜

Another thing? You will never understand just how big kangaroos can be until you find yourself right beside a big male! Their chests are huge, their tails are huge, and yep, their junk is huge! Don't ever approach males in the wild, it is extremely dangerous. The ones in the park are used to humans, but it didn't make it any less intimidating...

If you ever find yourself in the Adelaide area, make sure you check this place out! If you're more keen on searching for wildlife on your own, go hiking at Morialta Falls. My hubby and I thought we were just going for a fun hike, but ended up seeing 11 koalas in the wild!!! Even our aussie friends were shocked that we saw so many. Always, always, always - LOOK UP!

Have you been to Oz? What kind of wildlife have you seen? 😄😄

wow wow, what a wonderful and loving experience you had, couples need to this alot, i love you guys. I love animals too, love going to parks, game reserves. It's awesome.

What would you say the most beautiful place you have ever visited is?

Australia is a beautiful place for holiday, the scene display of wonderful forces and elements of nature rinses the heart to comfort. Am an explorer too, lets continue with more of this

I'm fascinated by your ability to oscillate your write-up between animal, wine and travel. That make you something of an all-rounder. Your photographs of special animal postures and the unique environment makes your entire post equally quite exciting to read. Good job.

It almost look like you went on a jungle search
It was a nice experience I guess
I would love to feel same someday

It is a very memorable trip, so many things you can see and feel amazed in your journey, it is amazing you can feel the beauty of the journey.

Love the capture really enjoyed seeing the scene
